A hero film for the launch of Tayvia Janai's Ayurvedic wellness practice, built around the instruments and sound that define her sessions. Singing bowls, inherited instruments passed down through her family, and the quiet effect of sound on a room.
When sound became the story.
The Brief
Tayvia commissioned a hero film to launch her Ayurvedic wellness practice and establish her image as a practitioner. The initial ask was straightforward, a film to introduce her and her work. What it became was something else entirely.
Being present in the room changed everything. Watching the effect her sound work had, on her and on the person she was treating, made it clear the film could not just be about Tayvia. It had to be about what the sound actually does. So the brief shifted mid production. Sound stopped being an accompaniment to the film and became the subject of it.

From a simple introduction film to a study of sound and its effect on a room, the project became a way to capture something most wellness content never manages. Not what a session looks like, but what it feels like to be inside one.

Tayvia is a 500-hour certified yoga instructor and a 200-hour certified Ayurvedic wellness coach, specialising in sound healing. Her path into this work began after losing her mother, when yoga became a way to move through grief, and Ayurvedic wellness became a way back to herself. What she offers now comes from that experience directly. Not just training, but something lived.
She carries her mother, her grandmother, and her ancestors into every session, holding space for others to heal at their own pace, in their own way. Book a session today!
